Royal Portrush hosted The Open in 2019 and again in 2025, and its reputation keeps golf groups coming long after the championship weeks. They book early, stay several nights, travel outside the school holidays and want homes that sleep a group well.
The NW200 in May
The North West 200 road races run on the triangle between Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine every May. Race week fills the town, and homes that are ready and priced for it a year ahead do best.
Two beaches and a summer that sells itself
With the West and East Strands on either side of the town, July and August fill with families first. The skill is in pricing the peak properly rather than simply filling it, then holding rates through June and September.
A base for the Causeway
